Terms of Service
The terms for using Hit the Road Dude: accounts, credit packs and subscriptions, photo and likeness rules, acceptable use, and your AI-generated videos.
Last updated: 2026-10-24
1. Acceptance of These Terms
By creating an account or using Hit the Road Dude (the "Service", configured for hittheroad-dude.com), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What the Service Is
The primary Hit the Road Dude tool uses one photo of a person, cat or dog to request a newly generated performance in the selected scene. The default is a parked white pickup beside a pond; a toy car with a red body and yellow roof is also selectable. It aims to recreate the conversation, questioning reaction, dismissive wave and final stare. The original recording, exact voice and identical performance are not guaranteed. Other independently available tools have their own photo, scene or topic inputs, shown on their respective pages. The main Hit the Road Dude workflow requests a fixed 15-second clip. You can choose the supported model, resolution and format and review the complete credit quote before submission. Available settings depend on the selected model. Third-party AI providers process authorized requests through the configured Crun, Kie, Comet or Metaso integration. Production photos and videos use private Cloudflare R2 storage; local development may use local files.
The separate photo-restoration tool returns a still image under its displayed daily allowance. It does not automatically submit a video or grant video credits.
Configured automated safety checks review text and image inputs through SeeAPI. We do not claim that every completed video has a separate output-safety review. A confirmed generation failure returns its reserved credits; an unknown provider status is reconciled before another submission is allowed. A selected stage or effect guides generation; identity, motion, pronunciation, dialogue and timing can vary, and an identical result is not guaranteed.
We may add, change, or remove features, scenes, and providers at any time; where a change materially reduces the Service, we will give reasonable notice when practical.
3. Accounts
- You can sign in with email. Available sign-in methods are shown on the sign-in screen. You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials confidential. Activity under your account is your responsibility; tell us promptly about any unauthorized use.
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the higher minimum age required where you live) to use the Service.
- You may not operate multiple accounts to bypass safety, credit or access limits; we may block such attempts and close those accounts.
4. Photos and Likeness
This section matters most. By uploading a photo you confirm that:
- you have the rights to use the photo; any person shown is you or someone who has consented to this use, and any pet photo is yours to use;
- you will not upload photos of minors without their parent or guardian's consent;
- you will not use photos of public figures or celebrities to impersonate them;
- the resulting video will not be used to create or spread content that is sexual, hateful, harassing, or defamatory, or that is intended to deceive — for example, passing the video off as real footage of a real person saying things they never said.
You are responsible for how you share the videos you create. We may refuse to render, remove content, and suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules, without refund of used credits.
5. Credits and Payment
- The Service uses credits, bought in one-time credit packs or received through subscriptions when payments are available. Checkout is currently unavailable. When payments are available, the offered methods and billing details are shown before purchase. Prices and offers may change; the server-confirmed product and price shown at an enabled checkout apply.
- What a video costs. Before each render, choose the available model, resolution and format and review the complete server-confirmed credit quote. The main Hit the Road Dude workflow requests a fixed 15-second clip. The native Seedance 2.0 Mini / 720p / 12-second reference costs 10 credits. This reference excludes additional preparation, video-reference and composition steps used by some effects; MiniMax H3 and complete effect workflows use their own full studio quote. Model, resolution, length and effect method can change the cost. Every format costs the same. Credit costs may change; the complete quote shown before you render applies.
- Credit packs (one-time): Single (10 credits, $6.99), Duo Pack (50 credits, $29), Crew Pack (350 credits, $99), Studio Pack (900 credits, $199), Label Pack (3,000 credits, $499). Pack credits never expire.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel when subscription payments are enabled. Monthly: Basic ($29.90/month, 100 credits per month), Pro ($49.90/month, 300 credits per month), Studio ($99.90/month, 800 credits per month). Yearly, billed once a year: Basic ($100/year, 400 credits), Pro ($500/year, 4,000 credits), Studio ($600/year, 6,000 credits); the whole year’s credits are granted at the start of the billing year. At an enabled subscription checkout, you authorize recurring charges through the configured payment provider until you cancel.
- Subscription credits are valid for the current billing period only: monthly credits expire at the end of that month's period, yearly credits at the end of the billing year. Unused subscription credits do not roll over.
- Pack credits and subscription credits share one balance; the credits that expire soonest are used first.
- Canceling: you can cancel any time from Settings → Billing. Canceling stops the next renewal; your plan stays active, with its credits, until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not give prorated refunds for partial periods, except as described in the Refund Policy.
- Credits cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash, except through gift links (below) or as described in the Refund Policy.
- Gift links. You can set aside eligible credits you bought (from a pack or a plan) in a gift link, choosing the credits per recipient, number of recipients, expiration and message. The credits leave your available balance when you create the link. Each signed-in person can claim one share per link, and creators cannot claim their own links. Claimed credits keep their original expiry; plan credits still expire at the end of the original billing period and pack credits never expire. Credits received as a gift, and free or promotional credits, cannot be gifted again. You can stop a link, and unclaimed credits return to their original credit batches, as they do when the link expires. Refunds of the underlying purchase may revoke unused gift allocations or balances. Anyone who has the link can claim an eligible share, so share it only with the people you mean to give to.
- Free preview (where offered). No automatic free video or Google sign-in trial is included in this Service. An account needs enough credits for video generation. A separately available photo-restoration allowance is not a purchased video-credit balance.
- Failed renders are never charged once failure is confirmed: reserved credits return to your balance. Requests with an unknown network or provider status are reconciled using their existing identifier before retrying, to prevent duplicate charges. A render that completes but that you do not like is not a failure.
6. Acceptable Use
In addition to Section 4, you agree not to use the Service to:
- create sexual content, or any content sexualizing a minor or anyone who appears to be a minor — absolutely and without exception;
- infringe copyright, trademark, publicity, or other rights of any party;
- create content that is illegal where you live or where we operate, promotes violence or self-harm, or constitutes harassment, hate, or fraud;
- probe, overload, scrape, or interfere with the Service or its providers, or circumvent safety filters, rate limits, or credit and access limits.
7. Your Content and Generated Videos
- Your uploads remain yours. You grant us a limited license to host and process them solely to operate the Service — sending them to AI rendering providers to fulfill the photo-restoration or video-generation request you authorize. We do not use them to train our own models.
- Generated videos and any generated audio, lyrics or music included in them are AI-generated. You may download and use completed outputs subject to these Terms, the applicable generation-provider terms, your input rights and applicable law. The Service does not grant rights to a third party’s photograph, music recording, likeness or trademark.
- AI models can produce similar outputs for different users; we cannot guarantee uniqueness, and you are responsible for verifying that your use does not infringe third-party rights.
- You can request deletion of your photos and videos at any time via a support ticket.
8. Availability
The Service is provided on a best-effort basis: we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, rendering speed, or that any given scene or provider remains offered.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time via a support ticket; if you have an active subscription, cancel it from Billing to stop future renewals. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, bypass credit or access limits, initiate fraudulent chargebacks, or create risk for the Service, other users, or people depicted in content. Sections 4, 6, 7, 10, and 11 survive termination.
10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim; we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The date above (October 24, 2026) reflects the latest revision; material changes will be announced in the product. Continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
12. Contact
