Refund Policy
How credit packs, subscriptions, failed renders, and refund requests are handled on Hit the Road Dude.
Last updated: 2026-10-24
1. The Short Version
Confirmed failed renders are never charged. No automatic free video or Google sign-in trial is included. Unused pack credits can be reviewed for refund within 7 days of purchase; used credits cannot. Subscriptions can be canceled any time from Billing, and a subscription charge can be reviewed for refund within 7 days if none of that period’s credits were used. Checkout is currently unavailable. If purchases become available, the price and payment method will be shown before confirmation.
2. Credit Packs
Hit the Road Dude’s catalog lists one-time credit packs. The approximate video counts below use the native Seedance 2.0 Mini / 720p / 12-second reference at 10 credits. This reference excludes additional preparation, video-reference and composition steps used by some effects. MiniMax H3 and complete effect workflows use their own full server-confirmed studio quote, which depends on the chosen model, resolution, length and effect method. Pack credits never expire.
- Single — 10 credits (≈ 1 video), $6.99
- Duo Pack — 50 credits (≈ 5 videos), $29
- Crew Pack — 350 credits (≈ 35 videos), $99
- Studio Pack — 900 credits (≈ 90 videos), $199
- Label Pack — 3,000 credits (≈ 300 videos), $499
Only purchases and credits recorded in this Service’s order and credit records are covered by this policy.
3. Subscriptions
In addition to packs, the catalog includes subscriptions. When subscription payments are enabled, they renew automatically until you cancel through the configured payment provider. Checkout is currently unavailable; available payment methods will be shown before a purchase can be confirmed.
Monthly
- Basic — $29.90/month, 100 credits per month (≈ 10 videos)
- Pro — $49.90/month, 300 credits per month (≈ 30 videos)
- Studio — $99.90/month, 800 credits per month (≈ 80 videos)
Yearly (billed once a year)
- Basic — $100/year, 400 credits (≈ 40 videos)
- Pro — $500/year, 4,000 credits (≈ 400 videos)
- Studio — $600/year, 6,000 credits (≈ 600 videos)
The whole year's credits are granted at the start of the billing year.
- Subscription credits are valid for the current billing period only. Monthly credits expire at the end of that month's period; yearly credits expire at the end of the billing year. Unused subscription credits do not roll over.
- Pack credits and subscription credits share one balance, and the credits that expire soonest are used first.
4. Canceling a Subscription
You can cancel any time from Settings → Billing. Canceling stops the next renewal; your plan stays active, with its credits, until the end of the period you have already paid for. After that, no further charges are made. We do not give prorated refunds for partial periods.
5. Failed Renders
If a provider confirms a generation failure, reserved credits are returned to your balance. This applies to pack and subscription credits alike and is a credit return, not a new cash payment. An uncertain network response or unknown provider status is reconciled using the existing task identifier before retrying, so a delayed success is not charged twice. A render that completes successfully but that you do not like is not a failed render. If the delivered file is unusable or there is a technical problem, open a support ticket with the task identifier for review.
6. Free Preview (Where Offered)
Creating an account or signing in with Google does not automatically include a free video. Available sign-in methods are shown on the sign-in screen. Video generation requires enough credits for the selected settings. A separately available photo-restoration allowance is not a purchased video-credit balance.
7. Refunds on Purchased Packs
- A pack that is entirely unused may be refunded in full within 7 days of purchase.
- A partially used pack may be refunded within the same 7 days for the unused credits, valued at that pack's per-credit price.
- After 7 days, or for credits already used to render a video, purchases are final.
- Gift allocations and claims are checked against the underlying purchase and credit ledger. Unclaimed credits return to their original batches when a link is stopped or expires. An approved refund may revoke unused gift balances; already-consumed gifted credits affect the refundable amount.
8. Refunds on Subscriptions
- First subscription payment: may be refunded in full within 7 days of the charge if no subscription credits from it have been used.
- Renewals: a renewal charge may be refunded within 7 days of that charge only if none of that period's credits have been used.
- Gifted subscription credits are reconciled against the originating payment. Unused gift balances may be revoked for an approved refund; consumed credits affect eligibility and the refundable amount.
- Otherwise, subscription charges are final, and partial periods are not refunded pro rata. You can still cancel at any time to stop future renewals.
9. Billing Errors and Duplicates
Charged twice or charged the wrong amount? Open a support ticket within 30 days with the order number so the payment and credit records can be checked and any verified error corrected. A checkout return link does not itself confirm payment or create a refund.
10. Chargebacks
Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank so we can investigate the payment and credit records. Fraudulent chargebacks (disputing charges for credits you used) may lead to account suspension.
11. How to Request a Refund
Open a support ticket from your account menu (Settings → Support tickets), or email support@hittheroad-dude.com, including the order number and the reason. Refund approval and the amount are confirmed after checking the payment and credit ledger. Approved refunds return through the originating payment provider where supported; the provider and your bank determine processing time. Clicking a return link does not itself create a refund. You can email us without an account.
12. Statutory Rights
Nothing in this policy limits refund rights that mandatory consumer law grants you in your country of residence.
